Just Because

These adorable photos are brought to you by bribing Tuttle and Maggie with candy Peeps. Whatever works. :)

Those curls. I die.

Tuttle is so amazing with his Legos. He will spend HOURS building very delicate and detailed things that blow our minds. He was posing here to send a picture of his creation to the Lego Magazine.

Piano Man (and Lady)

Tuesday morning Jay's childhood piano was delivered to our house, so Grandmommy and Grandaddy came over to help. Grandmommy arranged the delivery and has found companies to come check it out at our house. We are so excited to have such a special piece in our house, and Tuttle will begin piano lessons as soon as it is tuned and some repairs are addressed. Jay and I were already getting excited about Tuttle playing Christmas songs around the holidays. :)

Gigi is visiting family this week, so it has just been the babies and me at home. We have treated it like a little vacation and have been super lazy. I have loved spending some laid  back quality time with Tuttle and Maggie. :)

I have to say that Jay and I have the best kids. :)

Happy Birthday, Ellie!

Yesterday we celebrated Ellie's second birthday at her house. Ellie is the baby I started keeping a month after Maggie was born. I watched her for almost a year before her mommy decided to stay at home. Tuttle, Maggie, and Ellie are still such good buddies, and we could not wait to wish her a happy birthday!

A lot of our neighborhood friends came to the party, so I was able to catch up with some sweet friends.

Tuttle and Maggie had such a blast playing with Ellie's toys, and all the kids were so nice to each other. It was actually relaxing!

Daddy was able to come to the party, too. It was almost impossible to get a decent picture with these two clowns. :)

Happy Birthday, Ellie!

Everyone was shocked when we successfully put all the kids on the couch and took pictures!

After our wagon ride home, I bribed Tuttle and Maggie with cookies from the party to participate in a mini photo session.

I love these babies and this spring weather!

Wrapping Up The Week

Another week has flown by, and it was busy as usual. Here are some high points of the week:

1. The weather almost reached SEVENTY degrees a couple of times!

2. Maggie has officially added "dressing up" to her favorite activities. It could not be cuter, especially when she wears the Minnie Mouse high heels she got for Christmas.

3. Tuttle is showing improvement every week at swim lessons. He will dive in and completely emerge his face in the water. I see a fish in our future.

4. Maggie has practiced and practiced riding Tuttle's scooter inside. She loves to copy anything her big brother can do, and she can successfully move along like a big girl.

5. Tuttle's day to bring snack to preschool was today, so that also means he gets to be line leader all day. THIS IS BIG, and he could not contain his excitement. :)

6. Our neighborhood block party was put on the calendar officially, and we are hosting in our yard. Jay already ordered some cool lights to string across the yard. :)

We are looking forward to BEAUTIFUL weather this week and celebrating Ellie's second birthday tomorrow night!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We started off our St. Patrick's Day with Lucky Charms for breakfast, of course! :) Then after gymnastics, Maggie and I went to the preschool to set up for the class party. I brought pasta salad with green noodles and broccoli. The green noodles were so easy! I just added food coloring to the water while the noodles boiled. Unfortunately I think the green color scared the kids because most did not touch it! Oops!

This picture cracks me up. I asked Tuttle's teacher to take a picture of our little family. Every time she tried to take the picture, another student would jump in. :)

Take 2.

Tuttle has enjoyed playing "leprechaun" this afternoon. He put all his gold coins in a bucket and has refused to share. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Get Your Tissues Ready

I have witnessed some really sweet moments between Tuttle and Maggie recently.

This was the other night when they were watching a show before bed.

Last night might be one of my favorite sibling memories ever. I always let Maggie pick a bedtime story, and she sits in my lap while Tuttle listens. Maggie picked her favorite book, Go, Dog, Go!, last night, and Tuttle announced that he wanted to read it to her. He instructed her to sit in his lap, and he sweetly read her the whole story and paused on her page for Maggie to investigate the pictures.

Moments like these ALMOST make me forget the fighting during the day. :)

Warm Sunshine, Happy Family

We are finally starting to see a glimpse of spring in Atlanta, and we are taking every advantage to be outside. This past weekend the high hit near 70 degrees. We filled the weekend with several wagon rides, a big yard cleanup by Daddy, and hanging out with good friends. I am crossing my fingers that the warm weather sticks around because March can be so fickle!

Tuttle is officially at the stage where he does not want to take a picture. Jay and I both tried to convince him to smile normally, but obviously we were unsuccessful. We could not stop cracking up at his faces despite our attempt to be serious and ask for a nice picture. Hahaha

We had not seen Lawson (Jonathan and Stephanie's baby) since he was a newborn, so we LOVED spending a few hours with this sweet boy Sunday evening. He was so happy and smiley the whole time!

Today we headed to the park and had a blast. The kids spent most of the time on the swings, but we also slid down the HUGE slide all at once several times and crossed over the creek on the big rocks. Everyone just seems so much happier when we can get outside.

After naps we will continue to enjoy the sunshine at soccer practice. :)

On a side note, I have recently been getting sad because Tuttle is really turning into a big boy. This morning I told him that I did not want him to get bigger and move away to his own house. He responded, "It's okay. I will work at Cracker Barrel. " :)
