We just wrapped up our President's Day Weekend Break and seemed to pack in a lot of fun despite just hanging around town. Ever since Jacob started walking, we have been spending a lot of time outside. Walking has opened up a whole new world, including playing at the park!
We met up with friends twice over the long weekend to play at the park, and Jacob was right in the mix with all the big kids!
Our Friday evening was occupied with the start of a family puzzle. We are not done yet, but each family member enjoys spending a few minutes each day putting together some pieces.
Saturday after a morning birthday party we returned after several years to the Dekalb Farmers Market for supplies to make our own sushi. Daddy made a feast for a king. It was absolutely delicious and also had five star presentation.
Both Tuttle and Maggie had exciting weeks at school. Tuttle's class devoured a king cake for Mardi Gras, and Tuttle was the lucky recipient of the baby. It is supposed to bring him good luck!
Maggie grew up right before our eyes on Wednesday and turned into a 100 year old lady to celebrate her 100th day of school. She was adorned with jewelry from her great-grandmother who will actually be 100 in just a few more years!
The big event of the week was on Thursday afternoon when Tuttle tested for his green belt. He completed a private lesson with Mr. Armando this past weekend to prepare, and he impressed the evaluation team and his family with his sharp moves. We are so proud of his commitment to karate.
The weather today is absolutely INCREDIBLE. 80 degrees in February! We have spent the entire afternoon outside (including writing this blog), and we are hoping these temperatures last!
And just because there is nothing better than a baby boy in a diaper set and red Keds, I will leave this right here....
Happy Weekend!
