The holiday season hit us quickly this year, but football took priority as we were cheering on Jacob's 3rd grade football team all the way to the SUPER BOWL. They were the only Roswell team, including 2nd grade-8th grade, to make it past the first round of playoffs, and our boys fought until the bitter end. The final game ended with a 0-6 loss, but the Roswell Hornets were proud of their accomplishments and growth. We are ready to dominate next season!
This group of players worked extremely hard with practices and games four days a week starting in August. The weather changed from sweltering heat to frigid temperatures, but the team's heart and focus never faltered. The Roswell Hornets are more than just a team. We are family.
Thanksgiving was a double dose of deliciousness. We love celebrating twice with our families. Thank you to Aunt Peach and Gram for always hosting a beautiful feast!
I do not miss an opportunity to fit in all the Christmas cheer as soon as December starts.
Maggie's gymnastics team volunteered at The Shepherd Center decorating cookies with the patients while the boys picked out our Christmas tree.
Jay and I participated in Christmas Kindness at our church as personal shoppers for local families that needed a little help this year. Peachtree Road UMC offers a complete experience "shopping" for toys, new coats, and housewares, and the opportunity really puts our small stresses into perspective every year for us.
Maggie's Level 8 Team celebrated with their holiday party at Peyton's house. The afternoon was filled with wrapping gifts for their adopted family, games, a sock swap, cookie decorating, and all the food!
Drew and Allison invited Jay and me to the Applicated Resource Group holiday dinner, and we loved getting all dressed up for a night out. There are never enough sequins!
Lists have officially been submitted. Santa appreciated Jacob's honestly that he has just been "ok" this year. Soaking up the fact that we still have one believer among the Thorne kids.
We are really in the spirit this year and just getting started on our Christmas magic!
