Christmas Magic 2019

This was definitely our most magical year for Christmas so far. All three kids were very into it despite Jacob's aggression toward Santa. :)

Jay completed his final day at HD Supply before starting his new job on January 6, so we have him home for two weeks! We headed to Waffle House for breakfast on Christmas Eve, and it was the perfect way to start our celebration. Afterward we stopped by PetSmart to spoil Rosie with some Christmas cheer.

Before we knew it, it was time to head to church for the Christmas nativity program. Even though I failed to sign up on time, Maggie was able to fill an angel spot, and Tuttle was requested to be the innkeeper. Tuttle's role also gained us a reserved pew which is HUGE with such an enormous congregation. We shared the pew with one of our favorite families, The Grams, because there is always room in our inn. :)

We hurried home for sandwiches, spreading reindeer food, setting out cookies, and our annual readings by Daddy. The kids were eager to get into bed, so they would not miss the special visitor.

I am not sure how all three Thorne children pulled it off, but clearly they all ended up on the Nice List. Jacob must have some connections at the North Pole....

Some favorite gifts this year included a Batman car and kids tailgate chair (Jacob), hot glue gun and hair dryer (Maggie), and a harmonica and record player (Tuttle).

We cherished our lazy Christmas morning before heading to Grandmommy and Grandaddy's house for our final Christmas event. I even grabbed a nap on the couch to recover from a late night and early morning. :)

Santa felt it was time to bring Jacob his first pair of jeans. I am not ready for him to look so big!

Like every year Grandmommy and Grandaddy spoiled everyone with special gifts. Maggie and Jacob each received play houses, and Tuttle opened his biggest wish, a 3D printer!

We took two cars to be prepared for the haul home on Thursday. My OCD could not handle the Christmas decorations anymore, so while the kids played with their new treasures, I removed all of the holiday cheer from the house and began to organize all the toys. These Thorne children were spoiled rotten, and I know their Christmas was overflowing with magic!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
