After the Gresco conference was over, the entire family planned to stay for a few extra days. We always feel like the trip flies by way too fast, so we were excited to extend our time in Hilton Head.
Tuesday Jay and I were able to sneak off for a full day to celebrate our FIFTH wedding anniversary. We started our day at our favorite seafood spot, Captain Woody's. The restaurant was previously located at a boat harbor, so we were a little apprehensive to venture to their new location with no water view, but it was awesome! We sat outside on the deck area and enjoyed every delicious bite!
I cannot full describe how yummy their food is. Their She-Crab soup and raw oysters are worth the drive from Atlanta!
After lunch we headed back to the hotel and rented chairs at the pool to relax. We soaked up about three hours of sun and relaxation without any babies needing attention. I caught up on my celebrity gossip and sipped on a strawberry daiquiri. Jay and I decided an adult vacation needs to be in our near future!
We ended the night with dinner at Harbour Town. We ate at the same restaurant, Topside Waterfront Restaurant, that we chose for our third anniversary. The ahi tuna and bacon wrapped scallops were so good!
The entire family spent the day at the beach and pool Wednesday. That evening we met a photographer at the beach for professional family pictures. I snapped a few pictures of the babies before our session started.
Our last day at the beach was kept busy with a little shopping, kite making with Daddy, and a family dinner at Hudson's on the Docks.
I do not think it possible to love a little boy more than I love this one! :)
While we loved all our time at the beach, the babies were starting to come unglued and needed to return to routine at home. Jay and I made the decison to leave one night early and drive home after Tuttle and Maggie's bedtime. It was such a good decision. We arrived home about 1am.
Thank you, Grandmommy, Grandaddy, and Aunt Peach for such special memories this year in Hilton Head.
