Couple of Studs

Tuttle completely styled Jacob and himself from the outfits to the hairstyles.

I cannot wait to recreate these photos in 20 years.

We Have Moved

Our family chapter at Surrey Lane has ended.

We have finally closed on our dream home! The furniture is all in place, and the boxes are slowly starting to disappear. Everyone is loving all the space, the pool, and meeting new people in the neighborhood.

The previous owners left the sweetest surprise for us, and Jay wasted no time getting beer for kegerator.

We have spent so much time by the pool, and the kids are loving being able to jump in right when they wake up until bedtime.

I am eager to show off the rest of the house, but I want to unpack and decorate first. I am feeling less anxious after locating all the clothes and kitchen items. I was actually able to cook dinner tonight- fancy ramen!

We are just in Heaven in Roswell.

Walk Down Memory Lane

We have packed the first box for our big move to Roswell.

Since we sold our Ashford Park home without taking it on the market, we never took professional pictures to advertise. We put A LOT of work and money into renovating our home, and I want a place to look back on our mark on Surrey Lane.

We have so many wonderful memories at our first house. Eight years from flown by raising three babies, new job opportunities for Jay, and making Ashford Park the center of our lives. The moving is going well, but we will definitely leave a piece of our heart on Surrey Lane.

But we are anxious to starting making new memories in Roswell!

Lake Life

We just returned from the best vacation with Gram and Grumps as well as my stepsisters and their families. In total we had 23 people on our trip to Richard B. Russell State Park!

Nine out of eighteen grandchildren.

Gram and Grumps treated everyone to a cabin per family on the lake as well as a delicious dinner every night. We loved getting off the grid for a week of swimming, boating, fishing, bike riding, napping, golfing, and relaxing!

It was good for the soul to watch all the kids return to nature and fill their days playing outside. They were having fun from waking up until hours after the sun went down.

Gram and Grumps spoiled us with impressive meals for such an enormous group. We feasted on ribs, tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, low country boil, and too many sides and desserts. I thought quarantine packed on the calories, but it had nothing on lake food!

The biggest fan of the experience was Rosie. It was her first time swimming in a lake, and she could not get enough! She also learned quickly to retrieve the tennis ball and wanted to swim out to anyone swimming or floating in a raft. It must have been exhausting because she has slept in her kennel since we got home!

Stanley and Jordan were a highlight. With both in college now, we were not sure they would have time to come, especially with basketball training. All three Thorne kids LOVE Stanley and Jordan, and they are so patient and sweet with all the little kids.

Jay took me on a boat ride every evening with Jacob while Tuttle and Maggie were off playing with the big kids. It was absolutely peaceful watching the sun set on Lake Russell.

We have already booked next year's trip, and we cannot wait to make more memories.
