Lights, Camera, Action!

We survived (and had fun!) during the cold rain at the Botanical Garden Lights, Holiday Nights this past weekend. It was extra special because Ms. Jenna joined us for this annual tradition!

We always begin with dinner at Mellow Mushroom, and our crew managed to cram into one booth. I guess it kept us warmer! The rain held off until right after dinner, but it was a constant drizzle while we were walking around the gardens. I just pretended it was snow to make it fit the scene a little more! :)

We would not miss this fun activity each year, and we were so happy to make new memories with one of our favorite people: Ms. Jenna!

Our Saturday took a holiday break to celebrate our littlest Thorne family member. Piper turned THREE! We partied at her house with yummy food, an ornament craft, and a fairy/Paw Patrol cake (her request!).

Happiest birthday to our Pipsqueak!

Sunday we were back to our regularly scheduled Christmas craziness. While Daddy was driving home from a class reunion, I took the babies to church and a run through of the nativity play for our Christmas Eve service.

We hurried straight from church to Gram and Grump's house for our first gift exchange with my stepsisters, their husband, and our HUGE lot of kids! My kids have really bonded with their step-cousins and look forward to any chance to play! I did not take any photos because it was such a busy and quick visit, but it put us in the Christmas spirit, and we appreciate Gram and Grumps always hosting our families and providing us with delicious food!

We are gearing up for class parties to end first semester at school this week. Everyone is ready for a long break!
