The Perfect Weekend

Our Thanksgiving Break started off with a perfect weekend for everyone. Daddy took off with the boys for a camping trip with the Burke guys. Their first stop was our favorite Dahlonega dive restaurant for breakfast, and then they off roaded in the Jeep (with Tuttle driving most of the time). The crew hiked, made hotdogs and smores on the fire, and even helped a stranded brother/sister pair on the trail. I know this will be the first of many memorable camping trips for my boys!

Maggie stayed with Gram and Grumps all weekend, so I could have a weekend alone. She was spoiled with A LOT of candy, movies, shopping, and attention. I celebrated an empty house by staying in bed 90% of the weekend. It was such a luxury to sleep and read and watch trashy television for almost two days! Rosie even sneaked into the bed one night and cuddled up until 3am.

Jay has taken the entire week off for Thanksgiving, and we are loving the extra time with him. Even though he works from home now, he is always so busy with meetings and phone calls that we do not really see him until dinner. He deserves this break the most of anyone in the family!

We are trying to tackle some home projects, and everyone helped out in the yard. We took family photos with a new photography in our backyard yesterday evening, and I cannot wait to share what she captured!
