Mayhem is officially here, and we are packing in all the fun at school before summer vacation. The field renovations were completed just in time to host the lower grades field day on Friday. I really liked splitting the event into two Fridays. The classes competed, participated in relay games, enjoyed popsicles, and played gym games all before the heat hit at noon.
Our tiny but mighty girl brought her competitive force to the field and placed FIRST in the three-legged race and helped secure the tug-of-war trophy for her class. Maggie's field day experience was definitely winning!
I was able to completely focus on Maggie while Jacob was in preschool. It is always nice to have some time with just one child.
Tuttle is ready for his turn next Friday. I hope the weather is just as nice for the upper grades field day!
